Background:  At a recent meeting of the Luton Parent Carer Forum, parents talked about how valuable it can be to share and get simple tips around supporting children with sensory processing difficulties.  Luton Council would like to bring together parents and carers of children with sensory processing difficulties to discuss how best we can bring some of these tips and useful information together and make it accessible for parents and carers – to create a ‘by parents, for parents’ information leaflet.

Venue:  Co-op Social Club, Stockingstone Road,  Luton LU2 7NF – Ascot Rooms at the top of the free car park, past main building on your left

What to expect:  During this workshop, we would like to talk about things like:

  • What have you found useful? What information would you find useful to have and access online? What tips would you give to other parents?  And what format would you like to access this in?
  • Are there examples already available that you have used that are helpful?
  • Are you aware of any existing leaflets that are available online? (we will look at the resources available in Cambridge, and seek your view on whether you think these would be useful in Luton)
  • How best can we share this information?

Unfortunately, we do not have crèche facilities available, therefore we cannot accommodate children at this session.
